I get clients coming in or phoning asking about how to get into their network at home because they had forgotten their passwords. The quick answer is, you can't. That is the whole idea of encryption on your network...no password...no access.
Ok now that I have said that, here is how you reset your router. Resetting your router erases your existing password. Putting your router back to its' factory specifications. There is a reset button on the back of your router push it for 10 seconds with a paperclip, it is usually a hole with the word reset etched in the plastic, if you're lucky the button will be red and obvious...just look for it...it is there somewhere.
Now you have an open network and can get online.
If you want to re-encrypt your network just type in the appropriate address in your browser (like firefox or Internet Explorer) by address I mean this...say you have a linksys, type in 192.168.1.1 where you would normally type in a web address up top there. then a webpage will pop up that is actually a direct link to your router. It will ask for your username and password..username is blank and password is admin. For d-link the address is 192.168.0.1 and the username is admin and password is blank. Once inside just follow the wireless wizard
