Handling your laptop

There are so many occasions when I get a customer in with a laptop that will not power up.  On many of these occasions the GPU (Graphics processor) has physically seperated from the motherboard.  the biggest reason for this is handling the laptop with one hand when picking it up.  The stress on thae motherboard is very great and will eventually cause a failure.

Also handling the screen as opposed to the base when handing off a laptop is a no no and can easily crack the screen.

When opening or closing your laptop always do so from the center of the screen and never from the sides, this too causes undo stress on the hinges.

There you go...some tips to keep your laptop running just a little longer
