Keyboard cleaning

I don't know about you but i have seen some pretty grimy keyboards.  Food pieces, spilled liquid and God knows what else.  What can you do about it?  Well let me tell you...for stand alone keyboards not laptop keyboards...

If it is not too bad you can turn the keyboard upside down and shake the heck out of it, that will remove most of the loose debris, then use compressed air (The stuff in the can) and blow out the rest.

Now if the keys are all sticky and well just plain grose, you can take a Q Tip and clean the tops off with Windex...do not spray the keyboard...Dip the Q-Tip in the cleaner ...not too much...

Ok the ultimate ick keyboard...You can pop off the keys from the keyboard with a knife...they just pop off, then you can clean the whole key and the base of the keyboard as well...If you can get away with it pop off only the square keys and not the longer ones...they are a bit tricky to put back on as they have a spring type thing connected to them...not crazy difficult but a pain to figure out if you have never done it before......but the square ones just pop right back on

Oh one more thing if you only have one keyboard...take a picture of it before you take the keys off..that way you will know which keys go where.
