Marketing your business

When it comes to marketing you have to be a shark.  What I mean by that is shyness has no place in your marketing strategy.  You have to be able to plug your business and give out cards to anyone at any time.  Grocery stores, Gas stations, Restaurants, Shopping centers etc.

A good strategy especially  for a new business is to blanket your name into every free online marketing site you can.  Here is a partial list of where you will find Bitrate Computer Services: Kijiji, Weblocal.ca, Usednanaimo, Ourbis.com, Craigslist, Twitter, Facebook, Blogger, Youtube, Google profile, Hotfrog.ca, Nanaimoinformation.ca and Canpages.

Also give pamphlets, pens and business cards with your invoices...and never just one card, one for the customer and one to give away.

Signage on your vehicle is very important and where you put it on your vehicle is just as important.  Talking to a sign expert, he tells me that the rear of your vehicle is gold when it comes to marketing, door panels next...Bold colors and not too busy, simple and to the point.  After all the people reading it are usually driving and need to keep their eyes on the road.  For great sign ideas and prices call Bill at Signage... 250-756-7977

Now the yellow pages is something I thought in the beginning that was not necessary, I can admit I was wrong...I have a small 40.00 per month ad in the yellow pages and it has paid for itself many times over.

Now the most important marketing tool......A WEBPAGE.... get a web page done, either do it yourself if you can or get it done professionally.   Dan Perpeluk from Webacom is the guy to contact if you want all this marketing stuff to come together...Google optimization, Web pages, ads...you name it he can help with it.

http://www.webacom.com is the web page for Webacom and dan@webacom.com is his personal e-mail address...tell him Steve sent ya

Once you have a web page and it is optimized have every piece of advertising point to it....Your web page can have page after page of information about your business and it is just a click away for your potential clients.  Good luck and happy marketing
