Well it is the best time of the year for parents that is. Children are going back to school. Now of course every retail store in the country that sells computers is trying to sell one to you and your kids...what does this mean? Great saving passed on to you. I saw that futureshop has laptops on for 329.00 and desktop computers as low as 399 at Bestbuy. So if you need a computer now is the time to buy.
Ok having said that...what do you get? The answer is simple when it comes to computers. If you are using a computer for internet and schooling then you literally need the cheapest computer with no bells and whistles, Why? Even the least expensive computers of today can easily deal with those tasks without even breaking a sweat...now if you are a gamer that is a different story. Gaming takes the max you can afford plus some...lots of ram (at least 4 GB) Good video card (a GTX 260 at least) and a quad core or if you can afford it an i5 or i7 processor.
Now with a laptop the same is all true but there is one more thing you should look at when it comes to laptops...battery life....The average laptop battery will last 2 hrs (If your lucky) so you want to get a 9 cell if you can afford it..that will bump your time to around 4 hrs.
