It is almost September and the weather is starting to get worse already. Rain, cold and soon the occasional snow flurry. It is quite important that you do not get your computer/laptop wet in this in climate weather, if you do you must wait until it is dry before turning it on. Ok so that is pretty common sense right? Right.
Now something that most people don't think about....CONDENSATION
If your computer/laptop is outside say in your car and you bring it into a warm environment you will get condensation on all the metal parts inside and if you turn it on wet you can very easily fry your motherboard. It is an unwritten rule that you should wait at least 2 hours if you are bringing any electronics in from the cold.
This is always something I ask my clients in the winter months is if they have had their computer/laptop in an unheated car for any length of time.....sometimes a client will store their computer/laptop in their car and bring it to me after they are finished work...eight hours in a cold car = condensation = fried Motherboard
Hope this helps someone out there from ruining their computer/laptop
